How the Pause goal-setting journal is helping me reset for 2026

As you know, I’ve been deep in my own reset. Reflecting, decluttering, organising, and getting honest about what I want next year to look and feel like. If you read my recent End of Year Reset blog, you’ll know this season has been a mix of growth, challenges, lessons, and big shifts.

While I’ve always loved planning and organising, this year especially has reminded me how hard consistency can be. Between motherhood, full-time work, home life and everything in between, I’ve struggled to stay aligned with the routines and habits I set for myself. I’ve had weeks where I felt on track, and others where everything felt like survival mode.

Each week, I find myself trying to reset and start fresh, hoping to reconnect with the version of myself that feels at my best. But again and again, I find myself slipping. I needed to find another way to slowly get back there, without the overwhelm.

Enter the Pause Goal Setting Journal by JHolly Good Times, a beautiful product that has changed the way I check-in and show up for myself.

It’s been the tool helping me realign, reconnect with my goals, and stay accountable in a season where consistency has felt like the hardest part. Also, the branding is seriously cute! (pause icon = 😊… I mean, come on!)

What I Love About This Journal

I’ve used planners, digital notes, and a million templates over the years, but this journal doesn’t try to force you into an intense system or fill your days with unrealistic expectations. Instead, it encourages you to pause, reflect, and take the smallest next step. It guides you into thinking about your goals, emotions around them and provides space to dream big without pressure.

The Pause Goal Setting Journal is broken down into 5 sections:

  1. Goal sheet - focusing on how you're feeling about the areas of your life

  2. Priorities and set goals - write down your goals and priorities

  3. Vision board - use this to visualise your goals

  4. Check-in - choose a date to check if you're on track

  5. Reflections - revisit your goals and write about your progress

There are 12 rounds of templates included, making it the perfect yearly goal-setting journal.

Even though I’ll still be using digital planning to map out my yearly goals and long-term vision, this journal has become my on-the-go companion. I can throw it in my bag, take it to work, jot things down quickly between moments, and check in with myself without needing to sit down at my laptop. It bridges the gap between the big picture and the daily action, in a way that feels natural and calming.

The journal encourages me to:

  • Reconnect with my intentions when I drift

  • Notice what’s working and what isn’t

  • Adjust and realign without guilt

  • Recognise growth even when it’s slow

As I prepare for the new year, this journal is helping me rebuild the consistency I lost. It’s helping me reconnect with the goals that matter, release the ones that don’t, and approach 2026 feeling more intentional instead of overwhelmed.

If you’re heading into the new year wanting a calmer, more intentional way to stay focused, aligned, and accountable, this journal could help you find that balance. And if this is a season where you’ve struggled with consistency too, it might just help you reconnect and create space for yourself again.
